A devoted pediatric allergist, he cared for thousands of children and families, leaving a lasting impact on generations in the community.
Ed was the beloved husband of Marsha Bronsky for 59 years. He was a loving father to Sarah Bronsky (Rob Goodwin) and Stein Bronsky (Stacey Strock), and a proud grandfather to Zoe and Max Goodwin, and Rowan and Ryder Bronsky.
He had a remarkable knack for fostering and maintaining meaningful relationships with all those around him, connecting easily and genuinely with friends, patients, and community members alike. A dedicated supporter of the Jewish community, he was an active member of Congregation Kol Ami.
Ed had a deep and abiding love for nature. He found joy and renewal in the mountains and the desert alike, embracing skiing, hiking, camping, backpacking, and snowshoeing throughout his life. Whether in alpine settings or the quiet expanses of the desert, he was most at peace outdoors.
A lifelong learner, Ed remained curious and engaged with the world until the very end.
He will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, nurturing spirit, intellectual curiosity, adventurous nature, and the many lives he touched.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 1:20 p.m. at Congregation Kol Ami, 2425 E. Heritage Way, Salt Lake City.
Interment will follow immediately at Shaare Tzedek Cemetery, 1168 East 11th Avenue, Salt Lake City.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed’s memory to Congregation Kol Ami’s Ed Bronsky Memorial Fund.
