Our dear sweet and gentle mother and grandmother passed away March 13, 2016 from heart failure. She was born and raised in Spanish Fork, Utah. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, husbands Francis Black and Vernon Thornton, daughter LaRaine Shepherd, son in law James Shepherd, grandson Brian Shepherd and son Rick Black. She is survived by her daughter Betty Swaner (Russ), son Charles Black and several grand and great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park where she will be interred beside her beloved husband Frances Black. Our mother missed our father every day since his passing. May they rest in peace together, forever.
