

Emma V. Jeppson Lattin, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on 12/22/12. She was born in 1917, in Ogden, Utah, to Joseph R. and Christina R. (Mayer) Jeppson. She grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High and the University of Utah with a degree in English. She taught school in Lehi, Utah before marrying John Ellis Lattin, Jr. in 1939. They were married 55 years prior to his death. They raised four children. She was a devoted, life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She also served in various local women’s organizations. She was the consummate homemaker and housewife and was dedicated to being an exceptional spouse, mother and grandmother. Her children’s and grandchildren’s happiness and welfare were of foremost importance to her. All will miss her love. She is an inspiration to all who know her and a wonderful example of graciousness and sweetness. Emma had a beautiful singing voice and loved music. She was an avid golfer and loved to golf and travel with her husband and family.
Her husband, John E. Lattin, and siblings, Inez Ludwig, Eva Taylor, Joseph and Edward Jeppson, preceded her in death. She is survived by her four children, John (Linda McKinley), David (Barbara Margetts), Daniel (Christine Lence) and Elizabeth (Larry) Perkins, 19 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren.
The family expresses thanks to the care managers at Sunrise At Holladay for their loving care as well as Curo Hospice. Services will be on December 28 at 11:00am with a viewing beginning at 9:30 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 S. Highland Dr.).
