

Faye Patricia Hucks Vorkink Sheranian was born November 29, 1932 to Howard Haskell Hucks and Mary Lucile Bethune in her grandparents' home at Thomas Crossroads, Hartsville, South Carolina. She spent her early years in the Carolinas before moving to Salt Lake City where she graduated from East High School. Patricia moved to Southern California where she became a top fashion model, working on the East and West Coasts, marrying twice and having 5 children. She was a lifetime member of Screen Actors Guild.
Patricia was the first woman elected to the Board of Directors of the LDS Business and Professional Association of Orange County. She was the Production Coordinator for the 1980 LDS Sesquicentenial Dance Festival held in the Rose Bowl. Sister Sheranian served in 1989-1990 as a Public Affairs / Public Communications Missionary for the LDS Church in the Washington DC South Mission. Patricia held many upper management positions in the corporate world, ran her own modeling school and fitness center, was a long-time radio talk show host, and represented the Provo-Orem Chamber of Commerce as Membership Director for many years.
Predeceased by her parents, brother Howard Hucks, Jr., and daughter Elisabeth. Patricia is survived by brother Daniel B. Hucks, sisters Hannah Lewis Summers and Martha Hucks Terry (Gordon), sons Mark (Joanne) Vorkink, Kent (GeriLynn) Vorkink, Tim Vorkink, and Lincoln Sheranian (Jason McEllrath), 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Patricia passed from this life on June 24, 2017. Always one to bring the party with her, she didn't want any tears at this time, just fond remembrances. A lifelong member of the LDS Church, Patricia's unshakable testimony of and faith in Jesus Christ guided her life.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday July 3, 2017 at the Pleasant View 1st Ward, 650 E. Stadium Avenue, Provo. (Due to road construction, enter from 9th East.) A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:40 a.m. at the church prior to the services. Burial in the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery. Special thanks to the Yvonne Perry family.
