

"Flo" Florence Wright Dye completed her life of work and love for others April 17, 2016. Born in Twin Falls, Idaho on June 12, 1932; the daughter of Sherman Thornton Wright and La Rue Brown. Florence and Alfred G. Dye first met in California. They were married in 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple. She first lived in Texas as an Air Force officer's wife. She and her husband later moved to Holladay, Utah where their family of six was raised. Always active in the LDS Church, she served as teacher, Primary President, Relief Society Counselor, and Family History worker. Her whole life was devoted to her family, never giving up on ensuring success and happiness for them all.
She is survived by her husband, Al, and children: Marc (Michelle), Jeannie, Carol (Paul) Tezak, James (Debbie), Marian (Scott) Andersen, and Sheri. Florence "Flo" and "Al" were married 64 years and have 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and great-granddaughter, Morganne Jayme Dye.
The funeral will be held Friday, April 22, 2016, at 1 PM in the Cottonwood 6th Ward, 4930 S. West Moor Road in Holladay. A viewing will be at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to services on Friday at the church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
