Her faith throughout 2022 proved that the Lord does indeed answer prayers and perform miracles, and that Gayle was tough as nails and could do anything she put her mind to.
Gayle lived a life full of music.
Whether it was singing around the piano as a family at her home, leading the ward choir, or touring local schools and nursing homes with her children’s choir, the Brite Sounds, Gayle was happiest when she was singing a song and sharing her talent with the world.
Christmas was her favorite time of year, and leading the choir in the annual Christmas fireside with the Hallelujah Chorus brought her immense joy.
Gayle was always the life of the party, with an infectious laugh nobody could forget. She loved planning parties, and had a special talent for arranging flowers.
Gayle never left home without her “face,” her perfectly manicured hot pink nails and a Diet Coke from McDonalds.
One of her greatest accomplishments in life was raising her son in a world where autism was unknown.
Gayle was preceded in death by her son, Mike, and father, Ivan Quincy Andrus. She is survived by her loving husband, John, her mother, Jean, her three daughters, Amy (Andreas) Vestbo, Betsy (Andrew) Batman, Leigh (Bobby) Gibson, daughter-in-law, Susie, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, two sisters (Janet Warning and Lynne Wright) and two brothers (Garth Andrus and Judd Andrus).
