I want to say what a pleasure it was to care for this dear man.  He had a spirit like no other.. He and his dear wife Sherry will always have a special place in my heart.. Thank you the opportunity to help care for Gene.

What a wonderful and patient man.  He made such an impact on my life.  He was so kind and patient with all of us as young men.  He was truly one who demonstrated the pure love of Christ.  The world has lost a gem.  I chuckle to think of the reunion he is having with the other great builders of boys who blessed the lives of the young men of the Holiday 26th Ward.  Sherry, and Family, thank you for sharing him with us.

I will always remember Gene and the many hikes he lead all of us on from Silver Creek. My prayers go out to you and your family. He was such a loving person.

Gene was a great example in our neighborhood as I was growing up - He was my bishop, he was a friend, he and Sherry entrusted me to tend their children often - So sorry to hear of his passed - Love to the family

We express our condolences to Sherry and family.  Gene was such an awesome man.  Whenever we were in St. George and saw Gene he was always so friendly and inviting.  Ralph enjoyed dealing with him many years ago at Strevell Paterson.  His positive attitude was a great example to us.

Dearest Sherry, As you know, Gary and I felt you two were the most Christlike fiends we knew.  You treated each other and others as if we were all your favorites.  You both blessed our lives with your goodness.  
As Gene served as our home teacher when my four children, Rod, Tamie, Sandy, & Doug were little, we felt so special as he served us and cared for us most Christlike.  We will always remember his wonderful example.  
May you know of our love and reverence for you both.
Until you see each other again, may you feel of our love and gratitude for you both.

Uncle Gene and Aunt Sherry always had a great spirit in their home. I loved spending time with their family. Uncle Gene had a ready laugh and loved life. I think of his big smile and his way of making me feel like I was important and loved by him. I loved spending time with him working in his orchards and admired his work ethic. I knew he loved his family and the Lord. I remember well how kind Uncle Gene was to his mother and cared for her in his home until she passed. She called him and Aunt Sherry her guardian angels. Their reunion in heaven will be glorious!

Gene was a great example and a kind person. I so enjoyed my association with them.

There are no two greater people in the world than Gene, Sherry and there sweet family. Moving next door as a young couple with two young children there they were with meals, smiles, love and we knew we had found a precious family. They were there for so many parts of our lives. Thank you for loving us all these years.

What wonderful and fond memories we have of Bishop Crawford.  He was truly an example and a noble spirit.  We love him still as we love Sherry.  

We pray the Lord's peace be with you all at this time when we mourn the loss of a kind and gentle man and also celebrate the life well lived.

My dad was my hero!  He taught me the most important life lessons!  He worked hard and he played hard. He was truly an example of Christ-like love and he loved the Savior. His love for my mom was beyond what anyone could have ever wanted. I know that is why he fought so hard to stay here as long as he could. I hope to live my life that will continue to make you proud so that I can be reunited with you someday. I will miss you everyday but I love that you are free from the earthly struggles!! All my love!! Your little girl forever Sharla Jean!

The world has lost another great man. I was one of those "young people of the Holladay area" that Gene served so well. I haven't seen him much in recent years, but I've thought of him often, and always with gratitude. He and Sherry treated me as family, offering love, advice, kindness, and so many other things I needed while growing up. My prayers are with the family.

Gene was my mentor and dear friend. The world has lost a very special person and he will be missed. He made such a difference in everyone's life that he touched.  I know that my life was greatly enriched and blessed by Gene.  My deepest condolences to his wonderful family, for whom I care for very much.  There is not enough time or space to write all that I want to.  Love you Gene, Sherry and family.
