

Glenn Howard Whitehouse passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family September 25, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born November 13, 1936 in Tooele, Utah to Howard Whitehouse and Velma Benson. He married his beloved wife, Bonita Leah Yerke in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 21, 1958.
He was an active member of the Boy Scouting program, receiving his Eagle Scout award at the age of 15. Graduated from Tooele High School, then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Utah in 1963, in Electrical Engineering. Served in the Utah National Guard and was a member of the 119th Airborne Special Forces, where he was trained as a sharpshooter, an expert rifleman and a parachutist. Received his certification as a master electrician and worked as an Electrical General Foreman at Kennecott Copper where he later retired in 1993.
He is survived by his wife Bonita, five children, Wendy Horne (Tom), Suzette Rowe (Steve), Rebecca Nielsen (John), Jeremy Whitehouse (Mary) and Lynette Beck (Thaddeus); 16 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and two sisters Wardene Jordan and Mary Lu Welch. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard Whitehouse and Velma Benson.
