Helen Rufener Biesinger, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2010. Helen was born on April 2, 1926 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry and Emma Rufener. She was the youngest daughter of seven children.
At the tender age of 15, she met the love of her life, Fred Gwilliam Biesinger. They married two years later on August 22, 1943. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS temple.
Fred and Helen had a wonderful life together raising five children; Keith (Ardeen), Mark (Rochelle), Helen “Sissy” (Gary), Tom (Hope) and Matt (Mandy). Helen was grandma to 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Helen proudly served an LDS building mission to Germany with Fred and her children.
Helen spent her life serving others, especially her family. She will be greatly missed.
Helen’s family would like to thank friends and church members for their prayers and support, and a special thanks to the staff of Alta Ridge Assisted Living Center and Minette from Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving care and support.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Valley View 6th Ward, 3900 South & 20th East. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr., Monday, 6:00–8:00 p.m. and Tuesday at the ward from 10:00–10:40 a.m. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
