Jessie Isabel Sharp Davey left surrounded by her family to be with her husband and parents on December 18, 2015. Isabel was born on January 30, 1928 to Thomas R. Sharp and Eva Sneddon Sharp in Ogden, Utah. She married her sweetheart, Ralph Burton Davey on April 16, 1949, and were together for 51 years before Ralph was called home to heaven. Their marriage was later sealed in the Jordan River Temple. Isabel attended Ogden High School and Utah State University. When her mother became ill, she left the university and came home to care for her mother, father and brother.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas Sharp Jr. (Joyce); son, Scott Burton Davey (Vickie); daughters, Debbie Davey Padden (Robin), and Michelle Davey Morrison. Isabel has five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Iz, as she was known by her friends, loved to read, play bridge and travel with her husband, especially to Hawaii (Maui). Iz was known for her kindness and loving nature to everyone, including animals; Isabel just loved to do for others. She and her husband created a successful business together where she was the secretary/bookkeeper for many years while raising their family.
Isabel was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous church positions. She was a devoted member up to the very end, attending church services at her care center. We would like to thank all those who took care of our mother at Highland Care Center and Valeo Home Health. Mom we will miss you, give Dad a kiss for us, until we all meet again.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 11:30am at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, where friends and family can visit 10:00-11:00am prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
