To the family of my dear Uncle Jack. This is one year since his passing.  There are no words that can express the kindness and generosity of my Uncle Jack,   I remember going to Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's when we were young,  and oh what fun we had!!!  Uncle Jack was always so sweet and generous to me.  Thank you Uncle Jack for all you have done for our family!   Until we meet again.  Love you!

 Jack was a very special friend of mine and we had such a fun time through the years at our dinners.  I know he cherished the time spent with his family at the safari to Africa I planned for them. 
I miss him still and hope his family is doing well.

Jack Johnson was a leader and my mentor you will be missed with out a doubt, I will miss the wonderful times together hunting in Holden Ut, Fishing in Mexico for Marlin and Tuna's, the Trips to our Montana offices and of course Jack sleeping in my truck, no job was to big for Jack! never passed up on a project, the phone calls Jack would make Just checking In, and always asked about my wife Janet

What a hard couple of weeks it’s been watching one of my my most cherished, loved and inspiring clients pass away.  I do have to say I am honored that I was able to help care for him in his last few weeks on this earth. He and I had some good conversations the last little while. I also feel very content and happy I’ve been able to have strengthened bonds and relationships with his sweet family. 

I’ve known Jack and Ruth since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I’ve been able to see first hand how hard work REALLY does pay off and make a difference...not just making a difference where it was only beneficial for him & his family personally - but for HUNDREDS of people and employees at @A-Core  & others around him. He employed & taught people that got a true, physical and defining example of where hard work, dedication, and the will to NEVER QUIT would actually get you in life. (It wasn’t just talking the talk but walking the walk. It was Inevitably the true example of the saying “actions speak louder than words” that I know SO many people learned and BELIEVED from him.) 

Jack and I didn’t always see eye to eye but in his eyes I saw a good man who worked his tail off until the day he died. His sweet angel Ruth called him home on Tuesday....I am SO incredibly grateful that  I got to tell him goodbye the Monday prior when I  got ready to leave his home. 

It was truly a pleasure taking care of the beautiful home he and Ruth built together. It will always be my pleasure to have known Jack and to carry on my relationships with his amazing family.  

My daughter and niece say they are going to have a koi fish pond and pretty white doves like Jack and Ruth did one day when they are older. I told them that’s a wonderful goal to have. 

Rest In Peace Jack Johnson....and please give sweet Ruth and my beautiful Grandma Patty a giant hug from me❣️God Bless!

Miss ya! Miss ya forever! We all miss you!

I have always loved uncle Jack.  From my early years visiting Grandma an Grandpa Johnson at my favorite place in the world, Holden Utah.  It was kids magic land and Uncle Jack always helped to make it that way.  Through the years, it was always so good to see him and talk to him.  Such a wonderful smile and always an expression of love and concern. Such an oustanding example of dedication, caring and love.  He will be truly missed and loved eternally.

You have lots of People cross your path in life but their are those special souls that leave a lasting impression on you. Jack & Ruth Johnson Were those people.  He and Ruth came into our hair salon and supported us for many years.  Not only as clients but dear friends that we admired and cherished. Jack would come in to the salon and sit in my husbands chair for his haircut and fall fast asleep immediately. Sound asleep.  My husband would with difficulty try to cut his hair while holding his sleeping head in his other hand. Just as Rob pulled out the clippers to trim up his neck line Jack would wake up and say Boy that’s a nice haircut and great nap!   Then he’d walk over to me tell me hello darlin how are you and your family? Give me a big squeeze and off he’d go.  Boy we loved him and we were blessed to have him in our lives.  Jack and Ruth’s legacy lives on with their beautiful family ! Give Ruth a big love from us❤️

  When Pat and I started our company in 1977, Jack and Ruth were among the first people we met in the concrete cutting industry.  We became friends and were fortunate to share many events over the years.
  Jack was happy to  share how he started A-Core out of the back of his station wagon in 1974, and was quick to point out how lucky we were  to have been able to start ours in our garage.  
  His drive to grow A-Core and  to always take care of his employees was truly admirable.  He will be missed.

We loved living next to Jack. He was such a Good neighbor and so kind. He always remembered our son Jack’s name and would always ask how he was doing. We loved his beautiful gardens. We had to cut our 80 year old pine tree down and our neighbors had to cut theirs as well due to a beetle infestation.  Jack stood out in the street with us and talked to us. He felt sadness with us because he knew how long it took those trees to grow. He loved his wife so much and he always talked about her with such respect and admiration. We will miss him and his bright smile and genuine concern for his neighbors.

Uncle Jack was awesome! He was one of the best examples of hard work and determination that I know. (With 17 children, all of the Johnson’s learned how to work hard from their youth). I loved how kind and thoughtful he was. I watched him honor and mourn the loss of his sweet wife Ruth and most of his brothers and sisters including my Mom Vivian. 

I’ll never forget his thoughtful invitation to go Deer Hunting near Holden with a large family group. It was fun to be together. We’ll all miss him.

I met Jack in 1993 when I started working for A-Core Concrete Cutting. He never hesitated to say what was on his mind and tell you exactly what he thought of your performance. I came to understand that the man some people thought of as hard and sometimes harsh was, in fact, an incredibly passionate and sensitive person. He built his company, along with his equally passionate wife Ruth, from nothing and he LOVED the employees and industry more than any other person I’ve ever met. He instilled in me a drive to always take care of myself, my coworkers, the customers, and the company. I found that if you always did your best and continued to learn and grow, he was incredibly generous and loving. I can’t remember how many times he came to me with tears in his eyes, put his arms around me, and thanked me for what I did. Jack would always ask about my family and how they were doing. When he talked about the employees, he never failed to get choked up. I will greatly miss Jack coming in the office, putting his arm around me, and sincerely asking how I’m doing. 

Jack was the nicest neighbor we could hope for. His house is famous in the neighborhood for its beautiful yard and giant illuminated Christmas tree! He told us about his wife and how much he missed her within 2 min after we met him for the first time. We are happy that they are finally re-united and sad to see such a gentleman go.

We want to offer our sincere condolences to his family.

Jack was such a great guy and pioneer in the  Concrete Cutting Industry. We loved  both Jack and Ruth and always appreciated their kindness and friendship. He always said kill em with kindness and he did.  Rest in peace my friend.

My uncle Jack Johnson was a most generous, wonderful man that I always enjoyed being around. 
He always seemed to be willing to listen to what was being said and then respond in a positive way.
When I moved away from Salt Lake City years ago, it was him and his wife, dear aunt Ruth that I missed the most.
Someone like him doesn’t come along in this life very often.
