Janet was born on July 2, 1952 to Robert Holmes Morgan and Audry Louise Kynaston Morgan in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born with a genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome. Despite living with this challenging disability, Janet lived a happy life. She enjoyed simple things. She loved reading, crafts, coloring, Disney videos, and classic comedy, such as “Laurel and Hardy” and “The Three Stooges”. Above all, Janet loved her family.
Janet was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was thrilled with her calling in her ward's nursery. Janet loved children, who seemed to naturally gravitate toward her.
Janet successfully exceeded expectations for her circumstances. She lived in group homes and worked in several "abiltity" sheltered workshops during her adult life. It may well be that the greatest thing Janet accomplished in her lifetime, was to teach those around her about the important things in life.
Janet's life was made joyful and secure by the tender loving care of her family. She was also blessed by many other loving caregivers. We offer special thanks to Billie Carpenter, who cared for Janet as her own. We are also grateful for the kind service of many health care providers and other caretakers and staff in her Chrysalis group home.
Janet Is survived by her siblings Linda Louise Morgan Hicks (Roger), Robert Lowell Morgan (Claudia Tuft), Richard Holmes Morgan, Emilie Kay Morgan Sheets (Brian) and her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister in law, Marie Merrell Morgan.
