Julie Ann Hendrickson, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016 after a life long battle with cystic fibrosis. Five years ago she received a double lung transplant, which gave her a new quality of life. She was able to run, take Zumba classes, travel, family activities and most importantly give birth to Charlie. Four years later she contracted a rare and aggressive lymphoma cancer. She successfully beat cancer, but the chemotherapy that saved her, compromised her lungs and led to health problems thereafter. Julie was born on March 2, 1980 to Richard and Linda (Lee) Jackson in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Skyline High School in 1998. Later Julie met the love of her life, David Benjamin Hendrickson and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 2007. She spent her entire married life building and nurturing a family despite several roadblocks to having children. Julie was a devoted wife and mother to her three children. Julie was loved by everyone she came in contact with and has been blessed by so many wonderful friendships in her life. In her youth she loved spending hours making home movies with her friends and brothers. Julie has a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh, often while laughing at herself. As a young girl she enjoyed tap, ballet, jazz, and later art, photography, scrapbooking, traveling, and loved to shop! She was fun to be around, but not all was fun and games. Through her lifelong struggles with cystic fibrosis she taught us to push the limit on what is possible. Having and enjoying her family was central to her efforts to live her life as long as possible. She taught us how to persevere, to be courageous, and endure to the end with dignity. She especially taught us how to love by her selfless generosity. She forgave quickly, loved unconditionally, and saw things in black and white. Julie is survived by her husband David Hendrickson and children Benjamin, Jackson and Charles, her parents Richard and Linda Jackson, siblings Matthew (Whitney), Michael (Juliet), 7 nieces and nephews, grandparents LeRoy and Virginia Jackson and Ruth Hayes. Parent's in-law Art and Marilyn Hendrickson, 9 brothers and sister in-laws, 14 nieces and nephews, grandparents in-law Mona Layton (Alan W deceased). Julie was preceded in death by her brother Richard James Jackson (Michele), grandparents William D. and Carol Lee, grandparents in-law Alan W Layton and W. Lyle and Alice Hendrickson. The funeral will be this Friday March 4, at the LDS Chapel on Gregson and Kenwood St. in Salt Lake City, UT. 1765 Gregson Ave, Salt Lake City, UT 84106. There will be a viewing the night before Thursday March 3, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and again on Friday March 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with funeral services from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and the burial service at Wasatch Lawn at 3401 S.
