Kathleen L. Gilbert was Born April 12, 1934 at Harrison Nebraska to Chris and Katherine (Doyle) Eberspecher. She attended schools in Sioux County Nebraska where she later taught rural schools for several terms. She was later employed as an accountant for the Soil Conversation Service in Casper, Wyoming, where she met Warren Gilbert and they were married on October 28, 1968 in Rawlins, Wyoming.
In 1979 they moved to Story, Wyoming. She loved gardening, quilt making, bird watching and fishing, but her greatest love was her family. She was a member of the Story Garden Club. In 1999 they moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where they resided until moving to Torrington, Wyoming in 2001. She moved to Salt Lake City in 2013.
She is survived by her children, Gerri Bohm of Hermiston, Oregon; Todd Hilderbrand of Casper Wyoming; Jill Winter of Salt Lake City, Utah, and her step daughter Karen Gilbert of Lincoln, Nebraska. She is also survived by four granddaughters and three grandsons; two sisters, Patricia Garner, Evelyn Carland and three brothers, Jerry Eberspecher, John Eberspecher and Spike Eberspecher, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step son-Mike Gilbert, and sisters - Betty Hanson and Wilma Eberspecher.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Harrison Bible Church in Harrison, Nebraska at 11:00 a.m., followed by a lunch at the church.
