Born on January 19, 1926, to Les and Amy Paul, she married William W. Bosworth in New York City on May 26, 1945, just before he left to serve in World War II. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 19, 1945.
LaRue was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, currently attending the St. Mary’s Ward in the Monument Park Stake. She cherished her many wonderful friends there and served in various church callings throughout her life.
Beyond her faith, the most important thing to her was the love she had for her family. LaRue remained active and engaged with her talents and hobbies until the end of her life. She was an avid bridge player and golfer who loved to travel. A talented and creative person, she knitted beautiful sweaters, made amazing quilts and afghans, and crafted intricate crocheted pieces, which she generously gifted to family and dear friends on special occasions.
She is survived by her four daughters: Connie Bosworth, Patricia (Paul) Anderson, Suzanne (Martin) Whittlesey, and Amy Naisbitt; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Boogaard.
LaRue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William W. Bosworth; her daughter, Kathleen; two grandchildren, Michael Lowder and Jessica Ward; and her baby sister, Lolita Paul.
She will be greatly missed.
Floral arrangements can be sent to the memorial service at the church and would be greatly appreciated.
