Marie C. Burke

Marie was the daughter of John L. and Eva (McCormack) Hardy. Marie grew up in Ironton, Ohio along with her brothers Chuck, Emmett, Jack and Bill, all of whom have preceded her in death. Marie was a 1937 graduate of Ironton High School. In 1943 she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Marie retired from Williams-Northwest Pipeline in 1982. In 2005 she moved to Bend, OR to be near family.

Marie loved to entertain, play bridge, read and was an indifferent golfer. She was always fun to be around and made everything special for her family and friends. She will be thought of and missed every day.

Marie is survived by her three children daughter Janet S. Clark, Bend, OR sons Charles S. Clark, Tehachapi, CA and Michael E. Burke (Sue) SLC,UT, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday December 14, 2012 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel, 3401 S. Highland Drive, SLC, Utah. Friends may call 1 hr prior to the memorial service.
