Marina Chavez-Wyman

She was born in Questa, New Mexico on February 29,1932, to Alfred and Envelona Garcia. Marina attended and graduated from West High School in 1949. She married Felix Chavez and later divorced. Together they had four children: Laura Alldredge, Larry (Victoria) Chavez, Gary (Suzanne) Chavez and Liesel Chavez. Marina was a beloved mother and grandmother. Her family was everything to her. She kept a cheerful outlook, even when things were difficult. She worked as a tax preparer for HR Block and eventually opened her own tax business. Marina enjoyed the scenic ride to Wendover where she always found the lucky slot machines and bingo cards. She also loved her cats and dogs who were her constant companions.

Her memory will live on through her 8 grandchildren: Antonio, DesRa, Renzo, Matthew, Chad, Sarah, Roman and Alex. She had 11 great grandchildren. Marina is preceded in death by her husband Chester Wyman, parents Alfred and Envolena Garcia, brother Alfred (Al) Garcia and son-in-law Dave Alldredge. Special thanks to all the staff at the Abbington Senior Living Community for their compassion and care. We are so grateful to her neighbor and best friend Barabara for her kindness.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday March 26, 2024, for immediate family at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please do something kind for a stranger.
