Martha Myrth Kendall Eckman

Our dear mom and grandma (Gerb) passed away peacefully on March 7, 2014. She is now in the arms of her eternal sweetheart Floyd. Myrth was born March 24, 1925 to Elmer Kendall and Fern Robertson Kendall. She married Floyd Leroy Eckman on January 13, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, Later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Myrth and Floyd raised three children: Steve (Debra), Sally (Bruce) and Shad (Melanie). They had 11 grandchildren and 21 ½ great-grandchildren.Myrth loved her home and church, but most dearly loved her family. She enjoyed vacationing and playing with her family, but mostly loved just talking with them. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. We'll miss her.Myrth held many Church callings in the ward and stake. Her favorite calling, that she held for many, many, years was funeral coordinator. Now, Mom, this one's for you!She was proceeded in death by her husband, father, mother, sister Darlene Landis, and her granddaughter Kaitlyn. She is survived by her brother Edward Reed Kendall (Sandra).We would like to thank the Highland Care Center for their loving care.Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gregson Ward, 3153 South 900 East. A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in the evening from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, and one hour prior to the service at the ward.
