Meeda Smith

Meeda Jane Smith, age 97, passed from death into eternal life Dec.14, 2020.

Born July 2,1923 in Buffalo Wyoming to Clio K. and Sylva Jane Grant. Married Herbert Harry Smith, Oct 23, 1942. Worked at Lockheed Aircraft Corp. during WWII while Herb served in the US Air Corp.

After Meeda raised her 3 children, she worked at Zions Bank and later in the office at John Paras Furniture Co. Meeda and Herb spent much time traveling on their Harley Davidson bikes and were active members of the Retreads Motorcycle Club from 1975 - 1985. Later, they escaped winter weather on the Arizona desert in their motorhome.

After Herb passed, Meeda volunteered at the Heritage Senior Center where she made some great friends. Meeda loved her family at Millcreek Baptist Church where she worshiped regularly until her health no longer allowed her to attend services. But her greatest love was, and still is, for her Lord Jesus. If she engaged you in conversation, it wouldn’t be long before she was telling you about Him.

Meeda is survived by her family, that already misses her! Children, Cheryl (Sherm) Wickel, Timothy (Kelly) Smith, Larry (LouAnn) Smith; grandchildren, Bryan Wickel, Trudi Wickel, Boyd Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Kelly Peterson, Alisa (Michael) Loftin, Galon Smith; 20 great-grandchildren.

Private burial. Celebration of Life planned for late spring.
