Great tribute yesterday to the man and friend.  Standing room only with teammates coming from as far away as North Carolina !
I remember him as one of the toughest, grittiest competitors I’ve ever coached. As a man later in life, one of the most kind,thoughtful, and caring. When D-Bat opened he invited me for a look and gave me a personalized fungo which I now treasure and value. Prayers for your family. Love you Nate !   Coach Sato

My condolences to the family,  my name is Ricky Mccreery. Nate was one of the best catchers i ever had in my baseball career. I played with him at Central Arizona college in Coolidge Arizona. He was a good all around player, he could hit and played good defense and also called a great game . I believe we were 2-0 when he caught me with a couple of saves. He played  hard and never gave up. Once again,  my condolences to the family much love and respect.

Nate was a great teammate, roommate,  and friend. Some of my favorite memories of Nate were our conversations on the mound, our camping trips,  road trip games, and snowball fights with kids in the neighborhood.

Nate was a natural leader. He always motivated us to fight and finish strong. He was always faithful to his team, family and friends. 

Nate, you will never be gone as  you will alway be in our memories.

Nancy, Dee and Don… My Dad, family and I are heartbroken to hear about Nate! 

Nate was one of the best I’ve ever been lucky enough to call friend and teammate!!!

Our families have shared so many memories on and off the field. He will be missed!

I met Nate in 1991 as freshmen on Bingham’s Automotive team. Over the  following 3 years (1992-1994), I shared some of the happiest days of my life with those young men who played at Bingham. 

After the baseball team’s award banquet of our senior year,  Nate, his mom, Nancy, and I, were standing in that long hallway outside the gym at Bingham. We were looking at the trophies that spanned decades of championship teams at Bingham. Upon reflection, I was overcome with emotion  realizing that some of the happiest times in my life were over — No more baseball for me as a player.  Nate saw my tears and didn’t say a word, but walked closer and held out his arms giving me a big ol’ bear hug. As we withdrew from the hug, I saw tears in both Nate’s and Nancy’s eyes.  Just then, the  three of us started to laugh out load, and I felt a sense of peace and calmness overpower the sadness I was feeling. Nate may not have realized then how much his friendship meant to me right then, but it helped me get through that difficult time for me. 

Nate, if you’re reading this, thank you for your friendship during those 3.5 years we were teammates. That friendship helped me through a difficult time. I’m grateful for that memory with you, Nate.

We are so sad to hear of Nate’s passing.   It is just sooo hard and we are heartsick for you. We have such fun memories of Nate and Brad playing baseball together. We loved Nate and your family. We are sending so much love
