

Patricia Pearsall Hartman, born November 21, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Dr. Clifford Pearsall and Pearl Raddatz, passed away quietly in her sleep on July 20, 2017. Known for her generous heart and spirit, she will be greatly missed. She attended Rowland Hall School for Girls in Salt Lake City for her entire school years. Attended Stevens College in Missouri for one year, where she took flying school and obtained her pilot’s license. She then attended Beloit College in Wisconsin for several additional years. Volunteerism and philanthropy guided her entire life. Volunteering at Holy Cross Hospital first, then 30+ years at St. Mark’s Hospital as a pink lady. An active member of the congregation All Saints Episcopal Church for over 5 decades; helping with the Altar Guild, or wherever she was needed. In addition, she worked at the St. Vincent de Paul Center serving those in need for years as well. Her organization and committee work included: The Town Club, Westminster Women’s Board, and The Junior League of Utah (Ogden and Salt Lake Chapters). She was always there for a kind word or a generous donation of time or money. She was an avid tennis player, a loyal hockey fan, and University of Utah supporter. She was also co-owner and President of the historic Leyson Pearsall Jewelry store, an iconic landmark for years in downtown Salt Lake City. She is preceded in death by her beloved sister, Margaret Pearsall Moffat. Survived by her three children; Sharon Ann Hartman of Denver; William Pearsall Hartman of Portland; and Don Burton Hartman of Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive in Salt Lake City on Thursday July 27th from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1710 South Foothill Blvd in Salt Lake City on Friday, July 28th, at 11am. Attendance is welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name would be greatly appreciated to the Humane Society of Utah.
