

Pearl Blanke Kirk passed away April 12, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Pearl was born on May 14, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carl Fredrick Blanke and Johanna Hollweck Blanke. Pearl married F. Scott Kirk on January 10, 1942 and solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 24, 1955. They shared 61 years together that were full of love and devotion. For many years they enjoyed dancing and dining with their “Glen Arbor Gang.”
Mom enjoyed spending time in the mountains at their cabin with friends and family. Mom was a shopper and she loved going to the swap meet and garage sales. She also loved to do crafts, play the organ and enjoyed her dogs. Mom was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings, her favorite was serving as Primary President.
Mom is survived by sons David (Judy) Kirk, Kenneth (Diane) Kirk and Robert (Kym) Kirk, 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Alta Ridge Assisted Living and Millcreek Hospice for the care they provided Mom.
