Ralph Quinton Hutchens, age 93, passed away on March 2, 2013 in Holladay, UT. He was born on November 9, 1919 in Chillicothe, TX to Ernest Paschal Hutchens and Leona Campbell Hutchens. He married Darlene Broadwater (deceased) and Margaret Wood (deceased). An Honorable man who loved his family, God, country, home state of Texas, golfing, bowling, rose gardening, woodworking, HO model railroading and flying airplanes. He flew 50 missions in command of a B-17 over Europe during WWII earning two distinguished flying crosses. He retired as a 747 captain for United Airlines. A member of the LDS Church. A generous and gracious man who found pleasure in serving others. A True Texas Gentleman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 at 2PM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 3401 South Highland Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday March 7 and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
