

Robin Paige Bishop Carlson passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, on the morning of her 79th birthday. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, at LDS Hospital to Loren Elroy (Roy) Bishop and Mamie Draper, the first of their three children. They later divorced, and Mamie married Alfred (Fred) Snow Miller. Five more children were born, and Robin became “Mom’s right-hand man” in taking care of her seven siblings.
Robin grew up in Sandy, Utah, where she attended schools in the Jordan School District: Forrest Elementary, Mt. Jordan Junior High School, and Jordan High School. During her first year in junior high, she lived with family in Gardena, California, and attended school there. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Robin lived in Long Beach, California, and attended night school there. In December of 1966, she married Warren Bradley (Brad) Carlson in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. She was 19 1/2. They were the parents of eight children. Brad passed away in August 2019.
Robin was a bright, intelligent woman. She was a voracious reader and particularly enjoyed good science fiction. She loved solving mental challenges such as Sudoku puzzles. She enjoyed doing crafts and appreciated the artistic talents of others.
Robin is survived by her children: Mike, Christina, James, Matt, Sam, Jerry, Ronald, and Jonathan and their spouses; her siblings: Loren Harland (Bud), Jared, Ivon Christian (Chris), Cameron, Cliff, and Claudia and their spouses; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brad Carlson; her parents, Roy Bishop and Mamie Miller; and her brother, Cory Miller.
Funeral services will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr., Millcreek, Utah, on Friday, June 12, beginning at 11:00. For those unable to attend the services, they will be available online.
A light luncheon will follow.
