Rod Wyatt Leatham, 50, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his own home on December 24, 2010 surrounded by his loving family after a ten month battle of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Rod was born June 13, 1960 in Salt Lake City to Howard and Arda Leatham. He graduated from Skyline High School and then went on to serve as a missionary for the LDS church in the Calgary Alberta Mission. Afterwards he attended the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing. Rod married Mary Barth in the Salt Lake temple on June 21, 1983.
He was known by many names: Dad, Pops, Daddy, Bishop, Grandpa, and Coach. He loved serving in the community and as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a Bishop, a teacher, YM President and much more. He worked for Crown Zellerbach, Zellerbach and most recently at Hose & Rubber where he met some of his best friends.
Rod is survived by his wife, Mary, and his children Spencer (Andrea), Drew, Colbie, Max, Sam, Ali and his new grandson Boston. He is also survived by his mother Arda, his brothers Dave, Dick and Wade and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the East Millcreek 7th Ward, 3408 S. Celeste Way (3075 E.). A viewing will be held at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Dr. Monday night from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
