Family has always been the most important part of his life. Ensuring his Girlfriend, Kids, and Grandkids were taken care of even after he was gone was his number one priority. Ron focused on work to achieve this goal and believed working harder and smarter to stay organized, prepared, and to be able to answer nearly any question was the key to success. Ron was incredibly driven and strived to be the best at anything he did, and of course he usually finished in 1st place.
In the summer nobody had a better yard. His perfect lawn could compete with Pebble Beach.
In the winter, his driveway and walks were the first to be cleared.
His fish tanks were simply the best. This was his pride and joy and he spent countless hours perfecting them. They were absolutely breath taking.
Dad loved the mountains and there was no place he’d rather be. He was an avid skier and spent years as a ski instructor and patroller at his favorite place, Brighton. He loved to fish in streams and take his boat the ‘Sea Nymph” to the lake. Ron always seemed to know where to find the fish!
Ron always felt it was important to serve his country and community and was proud to be an Army National Guard Veteran and Reserve Police Officer.
Anybody who had the pleasure of knowing Ronnie knows what kind of person he was. He was fun, silly, kind, loving, and always made you feel good. People were drawn to him and his ability to make you feel safe. Ron found the positive in everything and was happy to help others see it as well.
Our Dad was so strong. He fought so hard to stay with us to protect us, watch over us, and make sure we were safe. Up until the very end, he never complained or said “why me” as he didn’t want us to worry about him or to be afraid. Our happiness, security, and ensuring we knew he loved us were his very last thoughts.
We are blessed to have had his influence on our lives and he will forever be in our hearts.
Until next time,
