This world has lost a strong, loving and beautiful spirit, but Heaven is rejoicing for the return home of one of their most beautiful and precious angels.
Royceann grew up in the Cottonwood Heights area where she shared many stories of adventure and of exploration while developing her love of the beauty of nature. She never lost that love and passion for the amazing marvels of God’s creation. Royceann later moved to Millcreek where she met many new friends and continued with her love of nature and adventure. You could find her quite often up Millcreek Canyon just reading a book and absorbing in the beauty of the canyon. There was never a person Royceann met that didn’t love her and never a person that she did not love back.
Royceann attended Evergreen Junior High School and graduated from Olympus High School. She worked both at Wasatch Villa nursing home and Der Ratskeller Pizza. It was there that she met her future husband, Burton that also happened to be her boss! Burton claimed that he used his rank to get her to marry him. Royceann totally denies that made up story. Together they spent 43 years married, deeply in love and completely dedicated to each other. The love Burton and Royceann share is something you only hear about in stories. This beautiful couple lived that story every day of their life and with every breath they took. They were initially married in Las Vegas, Nevada and later were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. It was both their wish to be together forever and to go hand in hand in love with each other for eternity.
Royceann was an amazing and dedicated mother of two amazing boys. Ryan and Tyler were absolutely the light of her life. Burton and Royceann were able teach and guide and watch them grow into wonderful men, husbands and fathers.
Royceann is survived by her loving husband Burton, Step-Mother Cheryl Miller, sons Ryan (Michelle) Edvalson, Tyler (Amber) Edvalson, grandchildren Erika, Chase, Alexis, Kai, and Payton.
