Our beloved Sue left loved ones too soon, passing away peacefully in her sleep June 28, 2018. She was born in Ogden, Utah on September 20, 1954. Sue married her sweetheart of 7 years on June 20, 1981, recently celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary.
She was an amazing wife and mother. Sue loved caring for and rescuing animals. Everything had a home at the Tedrow Zoo, ranging from horses to magpies to rats. She had the greenest of thumbs and could make a stick grow and bloom. Her floral creations were gorgeous and she loved doing family and friends’ wedding flowers. A great friend to all who met her. Sue enjoyed organizing holiday craft parties for family and friends. She loved social activities and vacationing, especially going to Ketchum, Idaho. Sue attended the University of Utah, graduating in 1986 with her bachelor’s degree in psychology, working at Primary Children’s for a time. She spent most of her career letting her creativity blossom in the floral industry. Everyone who has ever come into contact with Sue is going to miss her greatly.
She is survived by husband Joe, her children: Tovi (Ryan), Braden (Carlee), her mother Olive, siblings: Scott (Cyndee), Melody (Mark), Brent, Judy, and 3 grandpups. She is preceded in death by her father Don B. Young and step-father John Weston.
Services will be held July 7, 2018 at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park: 3401 Highland Drive SLC, UT, 84106, with Celebration of Life from 9:30-1045, and funeral service at 11:00. Sue’s wish of cremation will be completed prior to services.
