Tristan Michael Espiritu Thorup

Tristan, the oldest son of Michael Robert Thorup and Samantha Nicole-Misalucha Espiritu came unexpectedly 3 weeks and a few days early literally hours after his Mom’s graduation from Brigham Young University. He was born at 4:35 pm on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Timpanogos Regional Medical Center in Orem, UT. His birth heralded the beginning of a new generation as he was the oldest grandchild on both sides of the family.

Cherished by all, Tristan charmed everyone who met him. From the get go, he drew everyone to him. His beautiful round eyes captivated all our hearts. When around family or friends, he was always passed around and often, people would wait their turn just to hold him! Even more so than most babies, people wanted to hold him, cuddle him and love on him.

On May 28, 2016, just 5 weeks and 1 day after his birth, he passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. Although his life was short-lived, the five weeks he spent on earth impacted the lives of everyone who knew him especially his parents, Michael and Samantha.

He is survived by:

his parents: Michael and Samantha Thorup;

his grandparents: Eddie and Belenda Espiritu; Karen Hudson; Rob and Cindy Thorup;

his uncles and aunts: Derek, Aryn, Joseph, Dallin, Kaylen Espiritu Whitney, Christian, Noah (Tasha)Thorup, Amanda (Brandon) Koch & Blake Jensen;

and great grandparents, great aunts and uncles, etc.
