Wayne Ray Hardman

1945 ~ 2014

Wayne’s courageous fight against cancer ended peacefully with his family by his side on July 15, 2014 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born July 16, 1945 in Salt Lake City to William and Florence Hardman. He attended West High School, class of 1963. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Wayne married his sweetheart, Linda Christensen, on April 21, 1967 in Salt Lake City. He retired from Delta Airlines. He loved traveling to warm and exotic places with his family. He adored spending time with his grandchildren and was an outstanding father and husband. Wayne was a very avid “Ute” fan. To know him was to be his friend.

Survived by wife, Linda C. Hardman; children: daughter, Melanie (Rob); Aaron (Megan &Tristyn); McKelle (Rylan); Savanna; Logan; son, Brian (Raquel); Mickayla; Melissa; Libby; Maceylin; sister, Colleen (Gary) Turner; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, William and Florence, R.D. Don and Marie.

The family honors Wayne’s request of a graveside service where family and friends may gather. Services will be Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 11am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (3401 S. Highland Dr.).
