Wesley Martell Fuhriman a noble and good man returned to his Heavenly Father on
June 7, 2012. Wesley was born July 12, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The second son of Jacob Leonard & Jennie Virginia Bench Fuhriman, he grew up in Salt Lake City and in his teen age years moved to Bennion where he developed a love of farming and of raising a garden.
His life was spent in loving service to his fellowmen. He worked with sound systems in Butler West Stake and loved helping things to run smoothly. He anticipated others needs and did all he could to fulfill them. He was a great example of service and caring to his children and grandchildren who honor him for that example.
He married Darlene Lorraine Graham in the Salt Lake City Temple on February 9, 1951. They raised their family in Murray and Cottonwood Heights and always had a beautiful garden of fruits and vegetables to share with others.
After retirement, Wesley and Darlene served missions to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Jackson, Mississippi. Then as mission Hosts at the Conference Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which was a highlight of his life.
Wes is survived by his wife Darlene, and children Robert (Charrisse) Fuhriman, Elizabeth (Bob) Wilkes, Zoe (Larry) Telford, Catherine Fuhriman, Taylor (Joyce) Fuhriman, Laura Fuhriman, Carol (Gregory) Carter, Nathanael (Janelle) Fuhriman, 34 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers Daron and Jerry Fuhriman and one granddaughter Alexia Fuhriman.
