SAVINO, Angela R., of Rocky Point, New York, passed away on December 30, 2014. Born on September 22, 1916, in New York, New York, she lived the vast majority of her life in the Bronx and worked at Saks Fifth Avenue. She is the beloved mother of Lisa G. Mooney, and the venerated grandmother of John C. Mooney, Esq., of Boston, Massachusetts, who is engaged to Courtney A. Ferguson, Esq., also of Boston, Massachusetts.
Angela was predeceased by her husband, John D. Savino; her mother and father, Giovina and Marco Filacchione; her sisters, Elena and Ann Filacchione; and her brother, Frank Filacchione. She was loved by many family and friends.
Reposing at the O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764. Visitation on Thursday, January 1, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015, at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Rocky Point, New York. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, in Calverton, New York.
