Arthur C. Guilmette Jr.

Arthur was a one of a kind soul. Arthur grew up in the country and enjoyed swimming and going to Broadway plays with his grandmother. He graduated high school and entered the United States Navy and was promoted to Captain's Yeoman, an event Arthur described as one of his proudest moments. Arthur aspired to be an actor and performed with many notable celebrities in Summer Stock. Arthur met James Lawrence and the two were together for over 60 years. They enjoyed travelling and reading on cruises and both shared a love of gardening.

Arthur was predeceased by his husband James Lawrence in 2017. He is survived by his sister Michelle Guilmette and her partner Peggy, his brother Roger Guilmette and his dear friends Nancy and Ray Rada and Annette and Peter Falcetta and Madeline Nazario and her daughter Donna Nazario.

A visitation for Arthur will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25 A, Miller Place, NY 11764. Funeral Mass Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 9:15 AM at St. Louis de Montfort Roman Catholic Church, 75 New York Avenue, Sound Beach, NY 11789. Interment to follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933.
