A fond memory of "Celebrating with the Birthday woman".

On Behalf of the Day Habilitation program, we offer our condolences. Barbara had a smile the would light up a room. She was kind, happy, sassy and loved blowing kisses. Barbara was an artist who loved to draw.

Barbara killed EPIC's Halloween contest this year!

EPIC Long Island's Dinner Dance. Barbie loved to dance! 

I think that I speak for most who worked at Epic when i say that Barbie was all of our adopted Grandma. She was a spicy little lady with so much sass she definitely kept us on our toes! Walking into the class room every morning wiggling and dancing with the biggest smile on her face. She had such a personality that can never be compared i enjoyed the memories I was able to make with her while working at epic and even after when I would visit her regularly at the nursing home, even when she was in there she was still smiling and grabbing for my hand to hold. I loved just going there and talking to her, and sometimes singing (you are my sunshine) to her because she would always smile ear to ear when I did. I loved Barbie dearly and will miss her tremendously.  Rest Peacefully My Barbie Doll!

In this picture below. Barbie took a trip with her day hab group to the Dinosaur Exhibit. You can't see it under her mask, but she was smiling ear to ear. Barbara was a true animal lover.

Barbara, or as we called her here at EPIC, Barbie was a wonderfully sweet soul. Pictured below is Barbie with one of her most beloved staff, Maria at the Nautical Mile. Barbie loved taking trips with her friends. 

My name is lenora Davis and I was Barbara’s family Care Provider for about 6 years. Barbara was the princess of the family, she loved to dress up, with her necklace, bracelet, hair accessories, watch and in the summer her sunglasses. Barbara always acted her age; she was not interested in watching cartoons or kiddie shows. Barbara loved love, she was obsessed with love stories on lifetime and was able to follow the story appropriately. She also like western shows. I know we should not have favorite, but Barbara was my daughter (Naomi) favorite individual. She was loved by all my friends and family and she expressed her love just the same. Barbara loved my granddaughter, and when she visited Barbara would follow her all over with her eyes, point to her and hug herself while laughing out loudly. I loved Barbara, missed her presence in the house and will continue to miss her, but I know she is at rest.. RIP Barbe
