Carole Helen Herch

Carole Helen Herch, age 76, of Shoreham, New York passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Born on December 25, 1945 in Ridgewood Queens, New York she was the first daughter of the late James and Helen Newell (Slanovec).

In June, 1951 Carole and family moved to Stewart Manor, New York. She attended St. Ann's elementary in Garden City, NY and St. Mary's High School in Manhattan, NY.

Upon graduation she followed her Father's footsteps and worked in Wall Street at Decoppet & Doremus brokerage house.

Carole was preceded by the love of her life Otto Herch. They married on November 8, 1964 at St. Ann's church in Garden City, New York. They moved to Floral Park, NY. Later moving to Yonkers, New York where they welcomed their first daughter Kellie Ann in 1966. In 1969, they welcomed their second daughter Dawn Marie and subsequently moved to Shoreham, NY, where she spent the rest of her life.

Carole is survived by her loving children, Kellie Herch and Dawn Bucher (Gregg). She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Gerald Lenox III, Tanner Bucher, and Mason Bucher.

She is also survived by her loving sisters Catherine Schleier (Raymond), Patricia DeKov, and her brother James Paisley (Mary K). Additionally she is survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Carole will be held Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

A final farewell will occur at 9:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2022 at O.B. Davis Funeral home with a committal service following at 10:00 am at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, New York, 11933.
