Donald Joseph Gapp Jr.

Donald Joseph Gapp Jr. passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, surrounded by love. He was a vibrant soul whose laughter and presence lit up every room. Known for his unmatched sense of humor and his signature dance moves, Don brought joy and energy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He leaves behind his devoted partner of 24 years, Robert Nuñez, and his loving mother, Mary Gapp (née Muldowney). Don was predeceased by his father, Donald Joseph Gapp Sr., in 2015, and by his cherished feline companions, Pepper and Orio, who were never far from his side.

Don is survived by his children, Jennifer Gapp-Hollon and Donald J. Gapp III, who will forever hold his memory close in their hearts. He also leaves behind his siblings—Mary, Patricia, Christina, and Kathleen Gapp—his adored grandchildren Faith Gapp, Jonathan Hollon, and Hope Gapp, as well as his nieces and nephews: Bry Gapp, Kayleigh Gapp, Maura Iorio, Joseph Ricigliano, Nicholas Fico, Dayna Spero, and Elizabeth Sherman. Don was also deeply connected to a large extended family and many cousins.

Throughout his life, Don was a loving and beloved partner, son, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. Even in illness, his spirit remained strong and his love for his family unwavering. His absence leaves a profound void, and he is already terribly missed by all who knew and loved him.
