Edward Raymond McGuire

Edward Raymond McGuire, age 77, of Rocky Point, New York, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Born and raised in New York, Edward was a devoted family man who treasured the simple joys of life. He shared more than 50 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved late wife, Carol, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life. Their bond was an enduring example of true partnership and love.

Edward was a proud father to Kelly Matheson (Kyle), Edward McGuire (Denise), and the late Dennis McGuire (Stacey). He was a cherished “Pop” to his grandchildren Kylie, Karissa, Eddie, Erika, and Briana, whom he loved deeply and with great pride. His family was the center of his world, and he was known for his warmth, loyalty, and quiet strength.

A lifelong outdoorsman, Edward found peace and joy in hunting—especially deer—and spent many cherished hours fishing off the Cedar Beach Pier in Mt. Sinai. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Jets and rarely missed a game. Edward also enjoyed watching Fox News, staying engaged with current events and sharing his opinions with passion.

Above all, Edward will be remembered as a great dad, a loving grandfather, and a man who lived life with dedication to his family and faithfulness to his values.

A visitation for Edward will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764. A graveside interment will take place on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY 11727.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
