February 2, 1934 – January 17, 2024
Frank J. Pepe, 89, of Ridge, N.Y., passed away peacefully on Jan.17 after suffering a stroke.
Frank is survived by his wife, Virginia; his three children, Ken Janosick (Penny), Dan Janosick (Lauri), and Michele Warren (Dave); his grandsons, Danny, Ryan, and Henry; and his sister, Anne Schaefer. He was predeceased by his brothers, Michael and Pat.
A U.S. Army veteran, Frank married Virginia in 1968, and they were inseparable for 55 years. A devoted husband and father, Frank could fix virtually anything — TVs, toasters, clocks, etc. — and was an amazing problem-solver. Underneath his sometimes-gruff exterior was a kind, principled man who was fiercely protective of the people he loved.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at O.B. Davis in Miller Place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VFW. Burial at Calverton National Cemetery will follow on Monday, Jan. 22.
