MURPHY, Harold J., age 82 passed away on December 27, 2018 after a long battle with chronic kidney disease and post-polio syndrome. “Murph”, as he was known, was employed at Miltope Corporation and Fairchild Corporation. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Xavier High School in Manhattan, he was a pioneer in the field of computer systems design. Murph was an avid fisherman and poker player. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Rhoda, and four children: William (Audra), Thomas (Lynn), Carol, and Donna (Dennis), and seven grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mark’s Church in Shoreham, NY, at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019, with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram. Arrangements are being made by O.B.
