Henry G. Arntsen

Reunited again with the love of his life and blissful marriage of 60 years, Jewel. Henry leaves behind his beautiful family, his beloved children Ilene (John) Brennan and David (Doreen) Arntsen, his loving sister Betty and his forever adored grandchildren; John (Becca), Megan (John), Matthew, Stephen, Emily, Olivia and Ryan.

Henry was devoted to his family, and his mission in life was to care and provide for them all: His wife, children, grandchildren, mother, sister, and anyone else who would come to him in need. He never questioned, and never hesitated to give what was necessary. Though he didn’t go to college, he had an acumen for all of life’s necessities. He had a fierce integrity and his word was as good as gold; the clients he served in the insurance industry likewise depended upon him for sound advice and guidance.

For leisure, Henry loved spending time with his family. For inspiration, Henry's creative talent would be displayed through his various art pieces either on canvas or wood. And for a little thrill, Henry occasionally purchased a lottery scratch off.

As a young man he loved the Navy. He enlisted and likely would have remained in the service, but after his father passed away his mother and young sister needed a provider at home. As fate would have it he met the love of his life at the job he took out of the Navy and Henry and Jewel began the family that would be the center of his life. They bought a home in Coram that became their sanctuary, and they lived happily there until Jewel passed away in 2019. Henry remained in the home he loved so much until the end, where he was cared for and tended to by his health aide and friend, Christine.

Henry was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to so many. He will be deeply missed.
