John is survived by his spouse, Joan Keller; his daughter Kathleen Bald (Charles); and his daughter Kim Mixon (Steve); his brother Thomas E. Keller; his grandson Brandon Bald and his granddaughter Sabrina Bald. He is also survived by many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
John started life as a Brooklyn Dodger fan, changing to his beloved Mets when the Dodgers fled to the west coast. John served honorably and proudly as a United States Marine, remaining a dedicated veteran. He spent his career as a talented member of Verizon's technical team, helping establish Long Island's east end infrastructure in times of growth. He enjoyed fishing, camping, golfing, and his time outdoors. Family was of the utmost importance to John, and he will be missed sorely. Although John suffered greatly as of late, there is peace knowing he is smiling again at rest.
