Joseph Litterello of Mt. Sinai, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after bravely battling a long fight with Lou Gehrig’s disease. Joseph was a devoted husband to Mary, a loving father to Gina (Fred) Munnich and Joseph (Jenn) Litterello, a proud grandfather to Cody, Gracie, Freddy, Ryder and Gia, a brother to Joanne, Nicky, Toni, Marie Ellena, and a loyal friend. Papa Joe lived his life with courage, laughter and love. Pop was a life long die hard Jets fan. Known for his passion for the game and his unwavering optimism. Keeping up the fight with a smile no matter what the challenge. We will forever cherish and embrace the memories of Jet Sunday in the garage.
Joseph cherished his family above all else. As a husband he shared a bond of love that will never be forgotten. As a father and grandfather he provided endless support, wisdom, strength and joy. Pop has shown us how to fight hard, leaving behind memories his family will carry forever.
Papa Joe will be remembered for his humor, kindness, compassion and the will to never give up. His strength and positivity throughout this terrible illness has inspired all who knew him. And of course, that smile! We will never forget.
