Joe was one of the kindest nicest gentlemen I ever met. He was one of a kind. He is missed as a friend and a great artist.

Carol I can't believe it's been a year since Joe left us. I hope you continue to be strong in the beautiful memories you shared with Joe. I think of you both often.


I will always remember Joe as a kind and quiet man. His art was very good and his modesty even better. I guess the old saying is true..."only the good die young." I will forever miss him and remember him in my prayers.

Carol, Gus & I were so upset & saddened to hear of Joe’s passing.  We want to express our very deepest sympathies to you and the family.  Of course our friendship goes back to our high school days but the few times we had the pleasure of Joe’s company, it was obvious he was a gentle and compassionate man. Joan and I are sad to hear about the passing of Joe.  He was a fine artist and a lovely man.  We will miss chatting with Joe, along with Carol, at the many art related activities we attended.  He was always encouraging, positive and helpful.

There are blessings I have been given for which I am and will be forever grateful.  Although Joe’s passing was sudden and unexpected, I am grateful there was no suffering on his part that I’m aware of.   

Despite my sadness, so far, there is also a calm peaceful feeling, one of gratefulness and joy.  I’ve been given a great gift.  One of a loving, caring union two people can have.  Joe and I joked that we’ve had close to 58 years together and we’re still talking.  We were always together as one, sharing, encouraging and creating.  I remain half of a part of me that made me whole for Joe will no longer be here.  He will always be within my heart.  Joe was a kind, loving man who loved to spoil me, admittedly, I liked it.

We have two sons, along with my three grandchildren whom we love and are so grateful for along with my live angel (T, you know who you are).  The love I’ve been shown by my family and friends has been astounding. Thank you all for your kindness and support.

If only the world would, “Wake up and smell the roses”.

A dear friend of ours once told me, “Life is not a dress rehearsal”.

I lost my childhood friend Joe Miller. Joe and I have been friends since grade school. I  introduced him to his loving wife Carol. Their marriage partnership was one to be admired. Two talented people who worked and raised a family together side by side with love, respect and admiration for each other.
My wife, Shelly, and I enjoyed  it ,  when Joe and Carol visited us in Boynton Beach, Florida around fifteen years ago. We always stayed in touch by telephone.  We will miss talking to Joe.  He was a perfect friend and a kind, compassionate soul.  He will always be in our hearts. Rest in Peace Dear Joe. Love, Jeff and Shelly Halpern

My grandfather was one of the greatest gifts of life for which I could have ever asked. Had it not been for him, I would not be the person I am today. His presence was so strong that I know it will never truly feel like he's gone away. The kindness, love, care, generosity, joy, and compassion he showed to everybody around him despite the difficulty of his early life never ceases to amaze me.

Every single memory that I have made with my grandfather over the years - from backyard pool parties and barbeques to seeing him at the art shows he was a part of, and from visiting for brunch on the weekends to attending numerous family events together - are all the happiest memories, which is why his passing hurts that much more.

I love my grandfather more than anything on this Earth or in the universe. He has always been there for me. He has been there for me ever since I was a baby, and though he may be gone, my memories with him and his brilliant spirit will shine on for many, many, many years. May he rest in peace. ♥

Our hearts are broken. We will miss you tremendously - we will always cherish all the wonderful memories we shared.  Thank you for all the love and support you gave us unconditionally.  I love you.  Rest peacefully.  ❤️

Deepest sympathy to your family.  I just heard the very sad news of Joe's passing. We were co-workers and I remember Joe's positive attitude and cheerful spirit. While trying to design an illustration for one of the featured books, Joe and I and two other co-workers tried to pose ourselves to symbolize the characters in the story, we laughed so much, he was always a pleasure to work with.
