Kathleen was predeceased by John, her cherished husband of 67 years, and her siblings Jimmy and Mary Ellen.
Kathleen is survived by her three children, Rosemary, Barbara, and Susan, and sons-in-law Richard and Stephen. She also was the loving grandmother to her four grandchildren, Jennifer, Jimmy, Katie, and Christopher, and was expecting her first great-grandchild in August.
Kathleen’s life always revolved around her family and home. After growing up and spending much of her earlier married years in Queens, in 1974 Kathleen and her husband John bought a little summer bungalow in Rocky Point. This house became their passion, and they worked tirelessly to expand and convert the house to their full-time residence. In 1981 this dream became a reality, and they moved permanently to their house in the “country”. The house was their pride and joy - they loved sitting on the nautical themed porch, where they talked, read, and watched the happenings of the neighborhood. The beautiful property they looked out on was tended to by Kathleen, as gardening became the new passion of this former city girl.
Kathleen now goes home to be with her beloved husband and other relatives. She will be missed greatly, but she will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
