Mary George

Born on January 21, 1947 in Upland, Pennsylvania, she lived a life rooted in kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. To those who knew her, she was loving, cheerful and welcoming, always placing others before herself.

She found joy in reading and her love of history, and her greatest happiness came from spending time with her adored late-husband, Harold W. George, Jr. Her love was steady and unconditional, and her presence made people feel safe, seen, and cared for.

She is survived by her daughters, Carrie (and her fiance Robert Pinnock) and Samantha (and her husband James Murtha), and her grandsons Connor Voss, Aidan Voss (and his fiancee Clarissa Vokt), and Owen Bondar, who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by Harry, who has been waiting patiently for her arrival.

Though we grieve her loss, we are deeply grateful for the life she lived and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

A Memorial Service will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 1001 Route 25a, Miller Place, NY 11764, on January 23, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Liberty Ave, Port Jefferson, NY 11777, on January 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
