Patricia A. Springsteed

Patricia A. Springsteed, age 85, of Middle Island, New York passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Patricia Aurelie Springsteed was born January 23, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. She is predeceased by her parents Margherita and John Rosman Sr, her beloved husband, Richard Emerson Springsteed, and her brother John William Rosman Jr.

Patricia was a graduate of Hunter College and Adelphi University, and she was employed by Chase Bank from 1956 as a file clerk. She retired in 1992 as Vice President of Operations, opening over 100 domestic locations over the course of her career.

Additionally, she served on several committees and community boards. Notably, the board for Jamaica Redevelopment, and the Queens Council of the Arts. She was also an active fundraiser for the Queens Council of Boy Scouts. They honored her with a dinner and dance and inducted her into a full-fledged boy scout at a ceremony.

Patricia grew up in the Sunset Park Section of Brooklyn and in Richmond Queens. She lived in East Williston, Long Island for 24 years, then Moriches, and Middle Island. After retirement, she and her husband would spend winters at Lighthouse Point, FL and North Fort Myers, FL. They were both active on the committees and board of HOAs.

In her spare time, Patricia volunteered at her local library teaching English as a New Language. She was the happiest surrounded by family and friends and when she was traveling with her husband.

She is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Rosman, her brother Andy Rosman (Joann), her nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, February 18, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764. A visitation will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764. A funeral will occur Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, New York 11764. An interment will occur Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Sea View Cemetery, North Country Rd, Mt. Sinai, New York.
