Wayne leaves behind his beautiful family, his beloved wife Linda of 52 wonderful years. His loving daughters Amy and Karyn as well as his son in law, David. His doting grandchildren Isabel Tobey, William Tobey, Ethan Francois and Aiden Francois. Wayne was predeceased by his siblings Thomas and Leslie that he has finally embraced once again. Lets not forget Sam and Libby, Wayne's fur-children that will miss belly rubs from him.
Wayne was a proud Marine Corps veteran that served during the Vietnam War. He was committed to veterans returning from the military, advocating for service members through the Marine Corps League that he was heavily involved with. He was dedicated to preserving the history of his family and his town. Wayne was dedicated to making his community a better place to live in by being affiliated with many organizations such as; the Republican Club/ Farmingville reunion, Earth Day Coordinator, Port Jefferson Station Chamber of Commerce and as a business owner of Sill's Oil Service, Wayne was involved with Brookhaven Town Parks and Recreation as the Secretary to the Commissioner. Wayne truly enjoyed researching american history, by visiting historical sites and learning new information. Besides being a history connoisseur Wayne enjoyed antiquing, canoeing and camping.
Wayne was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Those who had the privilege to know and love Wayne will deeply miss him
