William Marshall Joy

William (Billy) Marshall Joy was born in Norwich, New York on August 9, 1959 to Dolores (Marshall) Joy and William Joy. He grew up in North Carolina, California, and Florida and lived as an adult in California, Arizona, and lately in Nevada. Billy was a rambunctious youngster and full of life as a teen and young adult. He lived most of his life as a free spirit who loved to dance (and he was a good dancer), but he was happiest camping and being in nature with his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his 2 sons, Cliff and Adam; a grandson, Pierston, a stepdaughter, Natasha and a great-granddaughter, Charlotte. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa (Evan) Skrederstu, Nicole (Tucker) Joy, and Sarah (Aaron) Greene; daughter-in-law, Katrina Joy; 5 grandsons, Cohl, Jaxson, Griffon, Liam, and Adam; 3 granddaughters, Claire, Lucy, and Lorina; 1 great-grandson, Carter; and his best friend, Daisy. He adored his grandchildren, and they will truly miss their Papa.

Bill had been in ill health for several years and rarely complained, but he could be cranky. Those who knew him just accepted the cranky side with the loving, thoughtful side. His family will continue to enjoy his RV in his honor, and his spirit will live on in those he left behind.
