EN EL CUIDADO DE

Sunset & Kapala-Glodek Funeral Home and Sunset Cemetery

Gregory Joseph Bunton was born on April 6, 1991, to Howell Joseph Bunton and Laurissa Thompson. From an early age, it was evident that Gregory loved to travel as his grandmother’s traveling buddy. With a passport in hand at five years old, Gregory traveled to Canada, Trinidad, Hawaii, Michigan, Wisconsin, Montana, and Texas. Texas was another home for young Gregory where he learned to be a cowboy. He learned about cattle and roping. He roped his first steer to everyone’s surprise in Texas. Gregory love animal and believe it or not the animals could see into the soul of this young man where they responded to his soft-spoken words, kindness, gentleness, and generosity. Gregory had several dogs but his favorite dog was Tonka who immediately became a member of the Bunton Family. Many of you may not remember his trained pet chicken CLUCK. When Gregory called Cluck it would come. You often found Cluck sitting on Gregory’s shoulder like a parrot and when Gregory asked for a kiss, Cluck would peck Gregory’s cheek. If Gregory had his way the home would have been full of animals. Gregory joined Park Avenue Methodist Church in 2005.He later graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis in 2009. He completed culinary school with the job corps in 2011. Gregory had plenty opportunities for employment, but his passion was baking. He loved making cakes and pastries. He was looking forward to baking the biggest wedding cake for his sister’s Kalani’s future wedding. Gregory often told his aunt “THE GOOD DIE YOUNG”, and on July 19th 2023, a good son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend left this earth for a new adventure.
