Born May 29, 1931 in Saint Paul MN passed away on June 15, 2025, Bloomington Minnesota. Preceded in death by parents, Ernestine (Slimmer) and Karl W. Elsinger, (brother Joseph & sister Mary) wife, Suzanne (Worz) Elsinger.
Loving husband of Suzanne and father of David Elsinger of Lakeville (wife Oksana: Stephen, Elizabeth) and Mary Gustafson (Elsinger) of Bloomington (husband Brian: Holly, Benjamin.)
John worked for Dayton’s in Minneapolis,where he met Suzanne. In retirement he was involved with Metro Gyros, volunteering with Bridging and SCORE, and enjoyed swimming at Southdale YMCA.
John and Suzanne enjoyed their grandchildren and traveling with Elderhostel. John was outgoing and had many friends. He enjoyed watching baseball, fishing, and having meals with his family.
Celebration of Life service: Friday, July 11, 2025, 2 PM, Presbyterian Homes 9989 Penn Ave. S., Bloomington, MN 55431, light refreshments to follow.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Park, St Anthony, MN.
